THE DEAL

So you're wondering "what's the deal here?" What's the price? How do we get started, etc.?

Well, there is no such thing as one price fits all
There is no such thing as one strategy fits all
There is no such thing as one design fits all

It depends on the personal wishes, goals & needs of a model. What is the best deal for you, might not be the best for somebody else.

That's why a personal approach is the best way: first we determin with you what's the best strategy for you. Then we make a detailed plan to give you full insight in costs, time, etc.

To orientate yourself a bit, go through the FAQ below.

FAQ:

HOW TO START

I want a website! How do I start?
Send us an email at info@pimp-xxx.com and we can take it from there!

Aren't there any things I should do before contacting you?
No. But it can't hurt to prepare yourself, of course. Whether you contact us or somebody else, it's a good idea to orientate yourself and gather as musch info as possible. Think of stuff like:
-->look at other websites & make a lists of designs that you like, pages that you would like and stuff that you would not want on your website, etc.
--> think about a URL (domain name) for your website. On websites like www.godaddy.com you can check the availability of a domain.
-->collect material that you have: pictures, video's. Put your favourite pictures in a seperate folder, so that you can ask those to be used for the design on your site.
-->ask other girls that have websites how they are doing with their sites, how much the dedsign costed, etc. This kind of info is important to know how much you want to spend on a website and how much you might make with a site. It also will give you a better idea on how fair the suggestions from us, Pimp-XXX, are.
-->check out websites where you would like your site to be featured/linked on. A good link section is very important for your ranking in search engines.

How long does it take to have a full website online?
This depends on many factors. usually we set a deadline date and work to that. how far away that date is depends on the complexity of the website (flash animations or not, the visuals that should be designed, custom systems, etc.) as well as the amount of pages. Next to this it also depends on the start situation: have all the texts been written already? Is it a redesign of an existing website, or a complete new design? etc.

How can I make money with my website?
Money can be made in a few ways, like:
-->a member's area: your site will have an area that people can only access by paying a monthly fee for it. usually the member's area is updated each week with new pictures/clips. the better the updates, the more members and the longer people stay member.
-->video downloads: selling videoclips is really big! always good to have a video downloadshop
-->webcam: a lot of money can be made with webcamchats. most money will be made on big webcamsites, while less can be made on your own personal site. for a professional cam chat, you have to buy an expensive webcam system (software) and you need an expensive server. simple systems are possible too, but are only suited for chats with few people and private/paychats with one person at a time.
-->selling products/personal stuff: models can sell signed photographs, panties, etc.

How much can I make with my website?
Websites with member-areas, video downloads & shops can make moeny, but don't expect to get rich! Only very few do so well with their sites that they make six figure annual income with it. Making $700-$1000 per month is possible for sure, but if you want to make $5000-$10,000, you have to work very, very, very hard and have something outstanding as a model: our experience is that the more extreme and unique a model is, the higher the popularity.

For instance: hardcore female bodybuilders are rare, while there are many, many beautiful fitness models. That's why a hardcore female bodybuilder is more likely to do well with her site than most fitness models. So, try to find something that you are unique in, that makes you special and market that aspect to the fullest!

THE COSTS

How much does a website cost?
There is no fixed price for a site. The design can cost anywhere between $500 and $3500. This price depends on things like:
--> the number of pages
--> the complexity of design (flash animations, or not, the amount of visuals, like banners)
--> the type of pages/site: do special systems need to be installed or not, etc.
--> how much work you do yourself. the more work you take out of our hands, the more you safe on money!

Next to the costs of the design, there are also the costs of hosting & domain name. For most websites this will cost about $10-$15 per month. But if you need a special dedicated server, costs may rise to $100-$250 per month. But realize this:

By far most websites do not need expensive hosting/servers! Spending more than $20/month on hosting for your site is not needed!

Too many models are paying way too much on hosting, because of greedy "webdesigners" wanting to make money on it. To avoid this, it's always best to arrange your own hosting, instead of letting somebody else do this!

What are the costs that come with maintaining a website?
After spending money on having a site designed, you'll have several ongoing costs that you should never forget about:
-->hosting/domain costs: for most sites this will be under $20/month
-->creditcard processor costs: companies like www.ccbill.com take 14.5-12% of every sale on your website and then there can also be. So when your site makes $1000 for memberships sales, you'll get about $880-885 on your bank account.
-->webmaster costs: this depends on who is the webmaster, how much work he must do, etc. If we at Pimp-XXX will do your websites updates, we'll be very clear about our pricing: usually this is a percentage of the websites revenue and sometimes a fixed monthly fee. The price depends on how many updates are done per month and also on how much work should be done. If we have to edit pictures and video's, the price will be much more than if we only do the updating of the pages. To give an idea: the costs for weekly updates of a site are usually about 20% of the sites income.
-->if you use photographers, sometimes these need to be paid too. In many cases you can make deals with photographers: you'll model for pictures that he wants on his site for free and in return you get pictures for your own site.

HOSTING

Do you provide hosting & domain names and what are the prices?
Yes, but we don't have our own servers. This means that we get your hosting and domain name at a company that we have good experiences with. But it's even better to get that hosting yourself, instead of through us. It will save you costs and it's just very nice to have everything on your own name. It's your site after all, not ours!

How can buy hosting all by myself?
We are always willing to give you good advice on hosting and how to be sure that you buy yourself the right package. If you don't know much about computers, it may all seem very complicated, but it's actually very simple! You can get good hosting packages at websites like www.powweb.com (not for adult websites) & www.godaddy.com (adult allowed)

What are all these complicated terms on the websites of hosting companies?
1) Type of hosting/servers: (shared) hosting, virtual dedicated servers, dedicated servers. All difficult terms, but what is comes down to is this:
hosting: cheapest solution and suitable for by far most websites
virtual dedicated servers: cheap solution for people that want a server for a lower price. it works like a server, but its actually one server being shared by severel clients
dedicated server: the most expensive solution. this is usually only need if you need to run complext software or want full control (only for experts). For complex webcam websites or for running several websites on one server, for instance
In most cases "hosting" works good enough by far. Only get a dedicated server when you know you truly need it.
2) Bandwidth: this is how much website traffic your site may have. Usually this is measured in gigabytes per month (GB/month). The more visitors and the more file downloads, the higher your traffic is. A website with membersarea making about $1000/per month will have a bandwidth of about 50GB/month. But the more succesful your website is, and the bigger your site is, the higher your traffic will be. Always make sure you have enough bandwidth. If you get over your max. allowed bandwidth, hosting companies ask a lot of money for the extra bandwidth. Have at least 100GB/month!
3) Server Space: This is how much GB disk space you have for your website. Websites can be 10-100GB big. Get at least 50GB. But in case your site has outgrown the diskspace, it's usually not complicated to upgrade to bigger disk space.
4) Linux/Windows: This is the system that the hosting/server runs on. We prefer Linux: it's cheaper usually and more flexible. Only get Windows hosting if you really need it (for whatever reason)

These usually are the most important things about hosting/servers. Other details can be important too, of course, but for a first orientation always look at the monthly price, the bandwidth & the server space.

If you have any questions when you're shopping for hosting for your site, feel free to mail us at info@pimp-xxx.com.

What's a good price for hosting for a website?
These days you can get 300 GB of disk space for your website with 3000GB of monthly transfer for only $8/month . This is many, many, many times as much as you need far most websites. But if you get a dedicated server, the prices start at $50/month - $300month. And usually the bandwidth and disk space is lower than hosting packages have. So only get a dedicated server if you really need it.
